He wrote three successful serials for the Fourth Doctor’s era (one of them, Shada, only failed because of a workers’ strike, not because of anything about the story) and a few more unused pitches; and he served as script editor for the 1979 season of Doctor Who. Therefore I overlooked much of what Snow Crash was about, four years ago; and every time I look back at it, I learn something new.
